Some of our Active Members are organic product suppliers, however, many of them are small scale single product group who struggle to market and sell their product in the present climate associated with large chain store outlets. There are only a few larger suppliers, who are called on to sponsor many other initiatives, such as conferences, etc.At Present, OLA has 3 committees; a Membership Committee, the Organic Standards Committee and the Strategic Issues Committee. The membership committee is responsible for member benefits, satisfaction, and development. The organic standard committee is responsible for ensuring the development and proper direction of the initiatives set forth by OLA and supported by the Laidlaw foundation. The strategic issues committee is responsible for the examination of strategic issues affecting organic lawn care and landscaping, maintaining a high degree of knowledge pertaining to issues affecting members, and promoting the acceleration of certification processes. |
