Welcome to the Organic Landscape AssociationWe are living in very exciting times in the organic industry as people across the globe are awakening to the need to protect their health and the environment. Whether it be interest in organic landscaping, gardening and lawn care, organic food, or organic products for your home or business - people are asking questions, challenging old habits and searching and paying for healthy organic alternatives. Our website is a meeting place intended to provide information on organic landscaping and lawn care - fostering opportunities to network, interact and exchange information. We encourage you to explore the world of organics and take part in these exciting times! Our HistoryIn 1998, a small group of individuals committed to lawn care and landscaping without chemical pesticides helped formed the Organic Landscape Alliance (OLA). In the short time since its formation, OLA has experienced excellent growth in membership and has seen increasing public interest in organic techniques, processes and products. In 2009, OLA partnered with a number of other like-minded organizations and was instrumental in successfully influencing the Ontario government to pass a province wide ban on the use of cosmetic pesticides. In 2010, OLA changed its charter and renamed itself Organic Landscape Association, under a newly appointed executive. Our Mandate As a non-profit trade association, OLA is committed to the development of organic horticulture. As an Active member of OLA, you receive the benefit of access to an excellent client referral service as we receive many inquiries from the public looking for credible organic service providers. OLA is also committed to supporting homeowners and property managers who are interested in learning about organic horticulture and how to integrate it into their property maintenance routine.
